Gifts For Her

June 30th, 2011

Did you know that you can combine flowers and wine from our site to make that perfect gift for her?Gifts For Her Wine and Flowers

From gorgeous red roses to vintage champagne, Ragtangle Shopping Village have brought together florist Fleur De Lys and wine merchant The Village Vine to combine their products!

There are some fantastic products on offer across both ranges. Try our house favourite wine Lapostolle Rosé (£8.95). With it’s deep pink colour, the bottle looks beautiful in the gift box as well as tasting great – it’s certainly an easy drinking wine!

At the other end of scale, we recommend Deutz Brut Classic champagne (£34.95 NV or £45 Vintage 2005). This champagne has a real class about it and certainly looks more the part than other supermarket counterparts.

A Dozen Red Roses(£34.95) with pussy willow foliage is an obvious starter when looking for flowers, but depending on the time of year we can also recommend having a look at combining large colourful gerberas with either sunflowers or pink lillies.

If you can’t find exactly what you’re looking for, you can always order a custom bouquet and tell us what you’d like in the order notes at checkout.

Failing that, give our shops a call by following the links across and they’ll be able to offer you friendly personal advice on exactly what to buy!

To save you time looking through the entire shopping village, we’ve put a selection of gifts for her together here: www.ragtangle.com/giftsforher

Niche Bijou Boutiques

November 25th, 2010

Niche Bijou Boutiques EveningwearIn November, most sales are wound down in swish department stores. Much better to explore niche boutiques, especially online. These offer the sort of mid-priced, modern occasionwear that is so elusive on the high street.

The trouble with buying that Marks & Spencer frock is that hundreds of women will have done the same. Several e-boutiques such as Fee G (feeg.ie) and Dia(dia-boutique.com), specialise in occasionwear. Also try net-a-porter.com, mywardrobe.com, austique.co.uk and lotuslondon.com.

Meanwhile, nothing comes close to the original “babe” boutiques such as The Cross, Anna, Matches and Browns for investment in evening wear.

And of course one of the most important parts of a new season collection is to get the colours right. This year the colours reflect an earthy and back to nature feel.

But it’s not all about the catwalk! These colours will soon be hitting the high street. Not sure where to find them? Well, don’t worry because we’ve got the definitive guide on how to get it right and wear to find these colours so you can make sure your wardrobe is bang up to date!

khaki cardigan1. Khaki

Staying in tune with military and uniform themes which have emerged this season, khaki is a huge colour this season. Khaki jackets and trousers are particularly popular. We love this cardigan from New Look (£18.00). It’s an easy Nude dressway to add a bit of this colour to your look.

2. Nude

Nudes are back this season. This dress is from The Vestry(www.vestryonline.co.uk) (£32.99). It encompasses both the colour and the hugely popular one shoulder look so we think it’s the perfect dress for those nights out.

3. GreysGrey top

Greys are supposed to reflect the grey sky at this time of year. But it’s not all gloomy! This top from ASOS.com (£20.00) is stunning. It shows off your figure and adds some glamour to those every day looks.black jacket

4. Black

Black is a classic that keeps coming back onto the catwalks. It’s hard to ever imagine it being out of fashion. This season coats hit our shops again and the weather starts to get colder. Military Looks this Season

August 27th, 2010

militaryAnother big trend this season to emerge is Military style clothes. This year there is a new take on the usual khaki and brown combat style that is still popular, particularly with celebrities like Cheryl Cole. Designers have headed down the more uniform style this season. Navy blue and blacks are popular colours with gold braiding and buttons often used to emphasise the military feel.

Military style jackets are hugely popular this season. These jackets come in a variety of fabrics from leather to velvet and are often short and fitted at the waist. Again blacks, greys and navy blues are the colours of this trend and these jackets are every where! They’re perfect for either wearing out in the evening but equally as appropriate for the office.

We love the military take on this cardigan (left) by The Vestry (www.vestryonline.co.uk) £18.99. Many of the high street shops stock this trend and this piece goes to show that it’s not just jackets military style has been injected into! This season dresses and skirts also have a take on the military trend!

So don’t be without some military fashion this season!

Animal Prints this Autumn

August 24th, 2010

Leopard printAnimal prints are heading to the high street this Autumn. Straight off the catwalk, this trend is set to be huge this season! Leopard print is particularly prominent in this seasons designer collections and it’s no surprise. It’s always been popular but this season animal prints are back to being bang on trend.

Leopard print is all about looking seductive this season and you can find this animal print on pretty much every item of clothing this season, from coats to leggings! But keep it glam by teaming leopard print with black this season.

We particularly love this leopard print dress from The Vestry (www.vestryonline.co.uk) £24.99. It’s perfect for standing out on those nights out! The added diamante detailing adds a bit of sparkle to this bold pattern.

If you’re not brave enough to step out in something as striking as our featured dress then there are plenty of styles which have accents of animal print- less obvious but still bang on trend!

So get out there and snap up some animal print for autumn!
