Year: 2009.
Region: South Africa.
Grapes: 100% Weisser Riesling.
Nose: Packed with dried apricot, spice and honey character on the nose.
Palate: The mouth feel is full and impressively rich but with superb balance, the result of elegant acidities. The aftertaste seems to linger forever.
Alc/Vol: 11%.
Serving Suggestion: Try it with apple tart tatin, vanilla crème brulée, English toffee ice cream and dark chocolate tart. Don't forget brie with caramelized fig or hazelnut praline. Most cheeses have a wonderful natural affinity for this wine, so try it with a cheese board. We would not recommend pairing with passion fruit or pineapple, however.
